Our inaugural release of Camlow is the outcome of years of discovery, desire, toiling and utter determination. You know us both.

CRAIG STREHLOW: I am the former winegrower/winemaker with Keefer Ranch and Keefer Ranch wines.  For 13 years I managed the vineyard and crafted a single vineyard Pinot Noir that, among the other notable wines from the property, helped gain the vineyard great recognition among Pinot fans near and far.

ALAN CAMPBELL: I am a Sonoma County native and local photographer focused for the past 27 years on capturing the beauty and romance of wine country, all the while trying my hand at a number of DIY projects that captured my attention and imagination; chef, gardener, farmer, winemaker and winegrower.

Our focus has narrowed with this project and we’re happy to share with you our 2012 Camlow Green Valley of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. It’s a very limited release from the Keefer Ranch.

CRAIG: I make the wine with input from Alan. Our aim is to craft wines that have a sense of balance and place. Good acidity, ripe tannins and rich fruit (with a hint of French Oak) are what we like. Letting the fruit and vintage speak with low input winemaking. Not using too much new oak.  Being in control of the farming for our estate vineyard allows us to closely manage these variables and bring you a truly handcrafted product.
Alan and I have known each other for 10 years. His passion for food and wine, right down to getting his hands in everything (with exceptional results) is how our friendship came about.

ALAN: Craig makes great wine, which along with our being good friends, is why I went into business with him. Among other things, I roast the pork and, yes, I did help make this wine and I’ll continue to do so with our future wines. I also own four acres of pinot noir in Graton, a vineyard that I’ve named Magna Porcum, clearly after my affinity for all things pork. While fruit from my vineyard didn’t make it in to this wine, it will be in future bottlings and as well as a single vineyard pinot, which debuts this spring.

For now, we hope you have interest in trying our wine. Please holler with any questions or to place an order. We’d love to chat with you and share what’s happening in our little corner of wine country.

Cheers!
